Our Story

2nd Chance Furniture LLC began back in 2016.  My husband and I had so much debt and did not know what to do.  We prayed to the Lord for help - within a few weeks we heard of Dave Ramsey's class - Financial Peace University starting up at our church.  

 

We were eager to get out of debt so I began painting furniture from my carport to make extra money.  We were amazed how quickly furniture was selling - I couldn't keep up with demand.  My (then) 12-year-old son started helping me clean and paint furniture and we still couldn't keep up with demand.  This led me quitting my job as a courier at FedEx to do this full time.

2nd Chance Furniture LLC continued to grow.  Eventually my son quit his job at Mercedes to join the team.  We outgrew the carport and moved into our first warehouse in August of 2020.  Demand continued to grow and my husband, Oscar, made the difficult decision to quit his job of 23 years to work full time at 2nd Chance Furniture LLC.

God is good - what started as a side hustle has grown into a full time business - I LOVE WHAT I DO!  We firmly believe this is what God intended for our family and we give all the glory to my Heavenly Father - without Him none of this would have been possible.
